Join Cassandra Harrison on July 18th, 19th and 20th for Summer Art Club sessions for kids. This year the art club sessions will be held at the Morningside United Church. Your child can choose to attend all three sessions, or just one or two. Three sessions offers the widest array of activities as well as better value for money. What are the choices?

Tuesday, July 18

Big Art, Little Art - In this session children will create a large group drawing, creating a huge image bank for two smaller projects. Creating big art helps us to come up with fresh new ideas. Themes in this session cover animals, plants and self portrait art. Materials: Large roll paper, paint sticks, pens, markers, watercolour

Wednesday, July 19

Maps, secret codes and treasure! - In this session children will create crinkled treasure maps, special code sheets and make treasured medallions. This is BIG imagination stuff here, working with story and creating images. Each child will create an adventure in a box to show their friends and family. Thursday, July 20

Mini Comic Book Club - This session is based on the most popular projects from my after school comic book club. Children will create a simple story and characters using fun prompts to help them plot and plan. They will make a zine and a 3-D model of their character. Materials: paper, pencils, marker pens, fimo

You will need to provide a healthy snack for your child. I will send a booking form for you to complete once you have bought a ticket for your session. This is to ensure that all needs are met for the kids in this session and to also give you the opportunity to tell me a little bit about your little artist.

My background: I have been teaching art sessions to adults and children for 20 years. My sessions have been taught in schools, in artist studios, in cafes and more. I am a fully qualified art teacher.
